The Cliff and Carolyn Ellis Foundation was established to continue a lifelong commitment to education, music, sports, and community outreach. Founded by Cliff Ellis, a legendary basketball coach and accomplished musician, and his wife Carolyn Ellis, a devoted advocate for education and philanthropy, the foundation is built on their shared passion for empowering individuals and enriching communities. With deep roots in Conway and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the foundation seeks to make a lasting impact through scholarships, mentorship programs, and charitable initiatives that support the dreams and aspirations of young people and underserved communities.
Meet Cliff & Carolyn Ellis
Cliff Ellis is a Hall of Fame basketball coach, renowned for his success at the collegiate level and his influence on generations of student-athletes. Over a coaching career spanning more than five decades, he has led teams at Coastal Carolina University, Auburn University, Clemson University, and South Alabama, leaving a legacy of excellence, character development, and mentorship. Beyond the court, Cliff is an accomplished musician and songwriter, blending his love for basketball with his passion for music. His deep appreciation for the arts and education has shaped the foundation’s commitment to fostering creativity, leadership, and lifelong learning.
Carolyn Ellis has dedicated her life to education, philanthropy, and community service.
